Introduction
When you purchase a domain transfer with Raidbox, the process starts automatically after checkout.
Transfers typically complete within 12–72 hours, depending on your current provider.
During this time, your domain may remain active at your old host until the transfer is finalized.
Because transfers can sometimes take longer, we often recommend keeping your domain with your existing registrar and simply pointing it to Raidbox.
This way, you can begin using Raidbox hosting immediately while still maintaining full control over your domain property.
Option 1: Transfer Your Domain to Raidbox
Purchase a transfer with Raidbox.
The transfer will begin automatically.
Wait for completion (12–72 hours, depending on registrar).
Once completed, Raidbox manages your DNS and domain settings directly.
Option 2: Point Your Domain to Raidbox via DNS
Instead of transferring, you can update your nameservers (NS) at your current registrar. This allows Raidbox to manage your DNS through Cloudflare while you keep the domain where it is.
Use these nameservers:
lennon.ns.cloudflare.com ophelia.ns.cloudflare.com
Once updated, allow up to 24–48 hours for DNS propagation.
Examples: How to Update Nameservers at Popular Registrars
Here are three examples of how to point your domain to Raidbox at common domain providers.
Example 1: GoDaddy
Log in to your GoDaddy account.
Go to My Products → find your domain → click DNS.
Scroll to Nameservers → click Change.
Select Enter my own nameservers (advanced).
Enter:
- lennon.ns.cloudflare.com ophelia.ns.cloudflare.com
Save and confirm changes.
Example 2: Namecheap
Log in to your Namecheap account.
Go to Domain List → find your domain → click Manage.
Under the Nameservers section, select Custom DNS.
Enter the Raidbox Cloudflare nameservers:
- lennon.ns.cloudflare.com ophelia.ns.cloudflare.com
Click the ✔ checkmark to save.
Example 3: Google Domains
Sign in to your Google Domains account.
Select your domain.
Click DNS from the left-hand menu.
Scroll down to Name servers → click Use custom name servers.
Enter:
- lennon.ns.cloudflare.com ophelia.ns.cloudflare.com
Save your changes.
Notes & Best Practices
DNS propagation may take up to 48 hours globally.
If you already use Cloudflare, you can simply add your Raidbox server records instead of changing NS.
Always double-check that your domain’s A record or CNAME points to the correct Raidbox server after updating NS.
✅ Once your domain is transferred or pointed, you can immediately start building your project on your Raidbox hosting account.
